ALDERMEN ISLAND CHARTERS

Tairua Dive and Fishinn provides Diving Adventures from Discover Scuba, Open Water Diver to the very Experienced Cave Diver.

Tairua Dive specialises in a two dive trip to the famous Alderman Islands. Leaving early morning and returning late afternoon.  Many other Dive Trip destinations are also available on demand. Such as Slipper Island, the Mercury Islands and other destinations around the Coromandel Peninsula. Just ask our staff to help you choose one that suites you.

Tairua Dive also personally designs a wide selection of Scuba Diving trips for individual groups so, locations,
number of dives and degrees of difficulty will make each time you dive with us a different experience.

Tairua Dive and Fishing has a NEW 10m Launch "Baska Voda". The Boat offers a fast comfortable ride to any dive location with hot onboard shower, full sized toilet facilities and Kitchen / Lounge area. large outside dive and fishing deck plus for the Fishing charter a Game chair with full equipment. 

Tairua Dive & Fishinn provides Morning Tea with muffins and a light lunch. All boats used for diving charters are MSA certified and are fitted with appropriate safety gear.

All you have to bring is your change of clothes, towel.  All dive trips have a qualified skipper. We offer a Hot shower on board Baska Voda or at the dive shop with complementary towel if needed and a refreshing drink or cup of coffee / tea. Which ever your heart desires.

PADI Five Star Courses

PADI Five Star Scuba Diving Courses or if you prefer SSI international Scuba Training certification are available and can be organised to fit into you busy life or work schedule.
We have a wide rang of Scuba Gear for sale in the Little Yellow shop or you can Hire Scuba Gear which is regularly upgraded and kept hygienically washed in special dive suite solution after every dive trip and hung to dry in the sun..

Discover Scuba Introduction Courses is available on request if you want to experience Scuba Diving for the first time. This is very handy for someone that is traveling with a group of friends that are already Divers. As a Discover Scuba you go out with a scheduled Dive Charter and have your own personal Scuba Instructor with you, helping you through the basic skills. This is an affordable way to try Scuba Diving before you take the full plunge into an exciting new underwater world.

Scuba Dive courses with PADI are available through the shop. TEEN DIVE CAMP

Please note we run Teen Dive Camps at the end of every year on Slipper Island for 12 to 18 year olds which consists of 4 fun filled days on slipper Island, all accommodation, chief cooked meals, full Open Water Courses with qualified trainers, and bring home a gold Padi 5 Star Open Water certification. The Alderman Islands consist of aqua blue waters, dramatic cliffs, hidden bays, and riddled with beckoning caves.

Enjoy a fast trip to the Aldermen Islands in either Scuba Diver or Island Cat. Note: smaller boats take much longer to reach the Aldermen Islands thus less time in the water. The Aldermen's are 24kms East... out of Tairua / Pauanui Harbour, the closest point off the Coromandel Coast.

LENS REEF

For the more experienced divers.

Lens Reef rising out of the deep blue a bisque of the Pacific Ocean 70 meters to within 8 meters of the surface located south of the Aldermen Islands. Prolific fish life and swarms of bait fish swim around you. This is a perfect dive for the experienced deep sea diver.

SLIPPER ISLAND

Discover the tranquil shores of Slipper Island in swept with local history, its glassy bottle green water and sandy beaches. .. rolling green pastures is famous for it's ship wrecked rocky southern shores and the north of the island for its dolphins, scallops and illusive Cray fish caves.

SHOE ISLAND

Located two kilometers off Tairua Main Beach. is a Bird Sanctuary. Out of bounds to humans, the steep cliffs tower above the dark green waters, riddled with caves and prolific fish life. Shoe Island can make for an interesting dive at night or the illusive cray.

MERCURY ISLAND

Tairua Dive and Fishinn offers a once a month dive trip to the Mercury Islands. Tairua Dive has access to large commercial boats that on request can be booked ahead with live a board supplies to make your holiday dive trip a relaxed couple of days with no rushing, just enjoy the view above and below the stunning Coromandel coast.  This trip includes three dives daily. Or what ever combination of events tailored for your trip. Pricing is determined on booking requirements

Double Dive @ The Aldermen Islands includes:

Fast comfortable trip to the Aldermen Islands on BASKA VODA 10m Launch, fully certified commercial charter boat. Note: The boat travels at 17 to 26 knots which means travel time is less. The Aldermen's are 24kms or 11.5 miles East... out of Tairua / Pauanui Harbour, which is the closest point off the Coromandel Coast. slower boats can take up to one and a half hours to get there. Note all trips are weather dependent and we will not take guests out in rough conditions, and the last and final word is always that of the captain. 

Morning Tea and a light  lunch is supplied consisting of fresh home cooked muffins and BBQ of the day with a full selection of condiments Tea, Coffee, Cadbury Hot Chocolate, and choice of soups. We also can provide on pre-order special packed Picnic Hampers to cater for your individual needs. Just ask the Staff at the shop when you are booking your Scuba Dive Trip for further information and pricing for tailored trips.

The Aldermen Islands (the island above water) is a Wild Life Reserve, The Aldermens consist of 4 Main Islands. Hongiora, Middle, Ruamahuanui and Ruamahuaiti, originally named by Captain James Cook in 1769 as "The Court of Aldermen" - plus eight smaller volcanic rock formations.  All are home to a abundant Fish life, Orca Whales, Fur seals and tastie New Zealand Crays.

Dive the Aldermen Islands, Honeycomb Caves, the Gorilla and Nudibranch Walls where visibility averages 15mtrs to 30mtrs all year around.  Or book alternative dive Trips to Shoe, slipper Island, Cathedral Cove and the Mercury Islands.

Double Dive @ The Aldermen Islands. Trip with your own gear $130.00. Tanks are discounted to $10 each if going out on our boat other wise they are $16pr day as per usual. Huge saving for people travelling with us.

Charter Deposit Policy

Tairua Dive & Fishinn will ask for a minimum deposit of $50per person for all charters.

Tairua Dive and Fishinn Cancellation Policy

For a no show on the day or a cancellation within the 24 hour time period prior to the date of the trip.... Tairua Dive & Fishing reserve the right to retain the deposit to cover loss of income or part of..
Tairua Dive & Fishinn Reserves the right to Change Destination To Suit Conditions on Day No Refunds.

Or to cancel a trip due to numbers and or bad weather on the day. All deposits will be refunded if this is the case.
