I am very passionate about Diving & fishing, and want to be able to share my passion's with you. I have been Diving & fishing all my life from outings as a young boy with my father to owning and running my own Dive Centers in Australia & a Commercial fishing operation, which i still own and run. I have been Diving & Fishing all over the world, and I am now offering personally designed charter Tours & packages on the Coromandel peninsular for you to enjoy.

From Diving The depths of Len's reef, to catching the odd Cray, that special Kodak Moment (Just have cameras ready) or Catching A Kahwai Off the Jetty To Mahi Mahi, Wahoo & Blue and Black Marlin (in season) or anywhere in the world. And Don't forget Snapper and the Mighty Kingfish, the waters off Tairua and the Aldermans are some of the best in the country for snapper and kingfish.
I was also the Chief skipper for 7 years at Point Danger, It is not called this because of its extreme beauty, the seas and treacherous Tweed Bar at Point Danger is not for the faint hearted, it is this experience I bring to Tairua, all the awards can't beat many many thousands of hours of sea time & over 32 years on the water. My commercial Diving background and knowledge plus professional rescue background will give you that added security to a fun day out, knowing you will be home safe for dinner with great memories, and maybe that special snap shot of the under water wonderland of the Alderman Islands, Slipper or any of the number of nearby islands along the Coromandel Coast, and if you ask nicely maybe bring back a cray or fish for the BBQ that evening to celebrate the great day out back at the Shop.

Tairua Dive specialises in a two dive trip to the famous Alderman Islands. Leaving early morning and returning late afternoon. Many other Dive Trip destinations are also available on demand. Scuba Diver is a 7.5metre Laser Craft. The boat is specially fitted out for diving activities. Scuba Diver is surveyed for 12 people but for your comfort we only take out 7 divers at a time. Tairua Dive provides Morning Tea with muffins or yummy cake. Scuba Diver is fitted with an on board toilet and all safety gear. All you have to bring is your change of clothes, towel and lunch for the day trip.

Discover Scuba Introduction Courses is available on request if you want to experience Scuba Diving for the first time. This is very handy for someone that is travelling with a group of friends that are already Divers. As a Discover Scuba you go out with a scheduled Dive Charter and have your own personal Scuba Instructor with you, helping you through the basic skills. This is an affordable way to try Scuba Diving before you take the full plunge into an exciting new underwater world.

Please note we run Teen Dive Camps at the end of every year on Slipper Island for 12 to 18 year olds which consists of 4 fun filled days on slipper Island, all accommodation, chief cooked meals, full Open Water Courses with qualified trainers, and bring home a gold Padi 5 Star Open Water certification. Enjoy a fast trip to the Aldermen Islands in either Scuba Diver or Island Cat. Note: smaller boats take much longer to reach the Aldermen Islands thus less time in the water. The Aldermen's are 27kms East... out of Tairua / Pauanui Harbour, the closest point off the Coromandel Coast.
The Aldermen Islands (above water) is a Wild Life Reserve, The Aldermens consist of 4 Main Islands. Hongiora, Middle, Ruamahuanui and Ruamahuaiti, originally named by Captain James Cook in 1769 as "The Court of Aldermen" - plus eight smaller volcanic rock formations. All are home to a abundant Fish life, Orca Whales, Fur seals and tastie New Zealand Crays.

LENS REEF
For the more experienced divers.
Lens Reef rising out of the deep blue a bisque of the Pacific Ocean 70 meters to within 8 meters of the surface located south of the Aldermen Islands. Prolific fish life and swarms of bait fish swim around you. This is a perfect dive for the experienced deep sea diver.
SLIPPER ISLAND

Discover the tranquil shores of Slipper Island in swept with local history, its glassy bottle green water and sandy beaches. .. rolling green pastures is famous for it's ship wrecked rocky southern shores and the north of the island for its dolphins, scallops and illusive Cray fish caves.
SHOE ISLAND
Located two kilometers off Tairua Main Beach. is a Bird Sanctuary. Out of bounds to humans, the steep cliffs tower above the dark green waters, riddled with caves and prolific fish life. Shoe Island can make for an interesting dive at night or the illusive cray.
MERCURY ISLAND
Tairua Dive and Fishinn offers a monthly to six week dive trip. This trip includes three dives usually on the more spacious Island Cat.
The Island Cat is a Stable 8.5metre Noosa Cat surveyed for 14 people. The Mercury Islands are approximately 50klms north of Tairua.
We go out daily over summer to the Aldermen Islands leaving at 10am on either Scuba Diver or Island Cat, 2 dives, Light snacks and breathtaking scenery then back around 3-4pm, over 30 fantastic Dive sights that can cater to all levels of dive skills.
