I am very passionate about Diving & fishing, and want to be able to share my passion's with you. I have been Diving & fishing all my life from outings as a young boy with my father to owning and running my own Dive Centers in Australia & A Commercial fishing operation, witch i still own and run. I have Dived & Fished all over the world, and I am now offering personally designed Tours & packages on the Coromandel peninsular for you to enjoy. Just tell me what YOU want to achieve and we will do our best to put it together for YOU. From Diving The depths of Len's reef to catching the odd Cray to that special Kodak Moment (Just have camers ready) or Catching A Kahwai Off the Jetty To Mahi Mahi, Wahoo & Blue and Black Marlin (in season) or anywhere in the world. And Don't forget Snapper and the Mighty Kingfish, the waters off Tairua and the Aldermans are some of the best in the country for snapper and kingfish.

I was also the Chief skipper for 7 years at Point Danger on the border of New South Wales & Queensland, Captain Cook Did not name it because of its looks, the seas and treacherous Tweed Bar at Point Danger is not for the faint hearted, it is this experience I bring to Tairua, all the awards can't beat many many thousands of hours of sea time & over 32 years on the water. It is this knowledge that can put you onto the fish and give you that security you need at the same time, knowing you will be home safe for dinner with great memories that special snap shot a nice cray or fish for the bbq.

Tuition Packages Available

Tuition packages are available to help you learn how to catch more fish softbaiting. You'll join us onboard 'Island Cat' & Tony will personally teach you everything you need to know so that you can begin to catch more fish from softbaiting.

Full Day Tuition

Our full day tuition course teaches you all of the information you need to know to get you started, or refine your softbaiting skills. This session can accommodate up to 14 anglers onboard 'Island cat' But for comfort we restrict this to max 4 anglers and has a duration of 6-8 hours on the water, so this gives you plenty of time for you to use your new skills to catch a feed of fish.

Price: $180.00 per person (minimum of 2 anglers and a maximum of 4 anglers)

Rods & reels,Tackle, and Gulp softbaits are supplied.

Half Day Tuition

Our half day tuition course provides a great introduction to softbaiting. You'll learn the basic techniques on how to soft bait and have the opportunity to put those skills to test on fiesty snapper. This half day session can accommodate up to 14 anglers onboard 'Island Cat' But for comfort we restrict this to 4 anglers and has a duration of 4 hours on the water.

Evening Snapper Fishing

Our evening snapper fishing charters produce some of the best fishing from the Tairua Harbour and close off shore reefs and the calm evening conditions makes this a great outing for groups of up to 6 anglers.

Speed Jigging for Kingfish

Departing from Tairua in the Coromandel Peninsula and fishing the Alderman Islands for Kingfish and large Snapper. Call us for more information on this package as this is our premium charter for your chance to catch your trophy fish.
