Tairua's Harbour and Coastline boasts crystal clear waters and prolific fish life.
- Hire (includes Life Jacket and Ores)
- Classes, where a qualified instructor takes you through everything you need to know about kayaking with a bonus harbour tour included.
- School Activities, this is usually organised through Schools.. so ask your local school if they run camps that include Kayaking at Tairua or Pauanui.
- Kayak Adventures, these are half or full day organised excursions with a qualified kayak supervisor. You can choose from a Mountain Adventure which includes a trip up to the hidden Tairua Gold
Mines in the Tairua Forest and Kayaking down the Tairua River to the Tairua Harbour. Or Exploring the dramatic Tairuaian Head Lands on a Coastal Sea Kayaking Adventure. taking in towing cliffs, golden beaches, Sailors Grave and hidden caves.
